We tore this one down to the deck. The full existing asphalt-shingle system came off across all 1,150 SQ FT, and in its place went a Tamko Titan XT Architectural Performance Shingle system, color-matched to spec and backed by full ice-and-water shield protection, synthetic underlayment, new metal drip edge, new pipe boots, new passive vents, and new Tamko hip-and-ridge cap — with ridge vent reinstalled wherever it was originally in place.
